A Search and Rescue Body from Harbor Truck Bodies

This custom SuperStructure 9' Service Body was modified into a search and rescue body, This Harbor Built body is a great looking, and very functional body with room for lots of things.

The body has horizontal compartments on both sides, where the horizontal compartment normally over the wheels only is extended to the end of the body to allow the carrying of longer tools and items that would not normally fit in any of the service body compartments. The good news about that is that it is typically a "no charge" option. Those huge upper compartments can carry some really large items by removing the shelf. Then there are those awesome light to light up the whole area on all three sides of the body. And, last, there is the whole lockable area in the rear which will take care of what won't fit in the compartments. All that mounted on a Ford Crew Cab F450, makes for a awesome package.

Working for Waterpower, a carwash operator based in Austin, my job is to keep track of nearly 100 carwash locations. I have to make sure each one always has enough soap, wax, degreaser and all of the other many supplies they need to keep their customers' cars shining.

When I'm on the job, I drive a Ram 4500 chassis cab with a custom box upfit. I'm in it everyday, visiting locations and making deliveries. Being out on road, never stuck in one place, is my favorite part of the job.

Harbor Welders Bodies Built to Customer Specs!

Harbor Truck Bodies can build custom welders bodies to customer specifications.. It seems that there's no such thing as a standard Welder Body because every welder wants something different. Well, here's a 9' Low Pro 34" Open Top Service Body with Stainless Steel lids and with slightly raised front compartments to the standard height of 40" closed compartment style.

This also has a small sized transverse compartment with two compartments for tall gas bottles in storage, while in the main front compartment are bottle brackets and rings for short gas bottles. This also has the rear compartment cut off and an 18" work platform with V-groove on the back plus the standard 8" step bumper.

This is all mounted on a new Dodge 3500 regular cab chassis and makes for a very clean looking rig.
