Sweet Harbor Truck CSI Unit Is A Looker Too

This is a very nice looking unit built for the City of Irvine by Harbor Truck Bodies. Notice the chrome plated rear bumper. Very nice. I absolutely love the upper side compartments that are angled with a long door. That used to be wasted space and now it can be very useful, but it has an additional benefit of giving the whole body a truck-matching appearance and I think it has a smooth flow.

This unit has a 40" inside dimension superstructure with recess front corners for HAVIS pole lights. It has rear barn doors with a stationary top. Notice also the Whelen LED Arrow Stick mounted top rear.

Tommy Gate On Ford Cargo Van

This is something I see rarely, but has long been available: A Tommy Gate Liftgate mounted on a cargo van. It's a great application any time there are heavy things to lift and it sure saves backs.

This job was a retrofit on a used Ford cargo van done by Harbor Truck Bodies in Brea, CA.

Colored Service Bodies At Platinum Chevrolet

 

There's not much I love more than a dealership commercial truck manager with the courage to stock colored trucks. That's a manager after my own heart. Even though red and black are the "safest" choices in colorland (and less expensive to paint. . .), I'm proud of my friend Greg Martin of Platinum Chevrolet in Santa Rosa for putting himself out there like this. You go Greg! Not only that but the black one is fully loaded uplevel luxury to make it a perfect choice for the general contractor and others.

Up On The Roof . . . And How To Get There

Here's a picture of a plumber style body on a single rear wheel cutaway chassis. This one is the standard tall height with 74" inside height so you can stand up straight and stop bumping your head in there. The service body cabinets must not be enough, nor the cavernous interior, so they wanted a rack on top and the only way to deal with that is with the tried and true ladder--this one permanently attached. Now,  they can get the job done and make use of all that space on top of the body.

Nice Search and Rescue Body by Harbor Truck

 Kimberly at Harbor Truck Bodies sent us this sweet body for West Valley Search and Rescue of the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department.


The truck is a crew cab single rear wheel Chevy and the body is an 8' version of Harbor's Highliner Body with horizontal series compartments on the streetside and vertical compartments on the curbside. It also has an LED lighting package. There's lots of room for keeping things secure and out of sight including the huge enclosed area with the barn style doors. Notice the high mounted stop light.

Nice Custom Flatbed For Irish Construction By North Bay Truck Body

North Bay Truck Body in Cordelia, CA recently delivered one of many units for Irish Construction to the selling dealer, Paul Brown of  Larry Geweke Ford in Yuba City, CA. The client has specific needs in their flatbed fleet and Bob Dias at North Bay Truck Body was happy to work with Irish Construction to fulfill their needs. Based on what I saw in this truck, it is a sweet rig and well designed.

The tool boxes were made by Harbor Truck Bodies and it is an open top box on one side and a closed top box on the other. The stainless steel lids is unmistakeable Harbor. The bed even has jack hammer tube holders, and a long list of other "little" features. Considering they do a lot of underground work, that is one of the main tools of their trade.
